Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 24, 2026

At Converty, we build software that respects your privacy by default. Because Converty is a native macOS application designed to act as your personal menu bar currency converter, we have architected it so that your data remains yours. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices.

1. Local Storage & Networking

Your settings are yours. By default, all data you create in Converty (favorite currencies, conversion history, and settings) is stored locally on your Mac's hard drive. Converty only makes network requests to fetch the latest currency exchange rates from our trusted financial data providers. We do not collect or transmit your personal data.

2. Analytics and Telemetry

To help us improve Converty, we use an analytics service called PostHog to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., app launches, feature usage). We do not track any personal or identifiable information, nor do we track the specific currencies you convert or the amounts.

We respect your choice and provide an easy way to opt-out. You can disable all telemetry and analytics at any time directly from the app's settings window.

3. Payment and Licensing Data

Converty is distributed via the Mac App Store. All purchases and transactions are processed securely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information, your Apple ID, or your personal billing details. Your license is tied to your Apple ID and managed entirely by Apple's infrastructure.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
