At Peeky, we build creative software that respects your privacy by default. Because Peeky is a native macOS menu bar application designed as your personal visual asset manager and moodboard canvas, we have architected it so that your media, images, audio, and font files remain strictly on your device. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices.

1. Local Processing & Zero Server Uploads

Your files remain yours. All folders you link or monitor in Peeky are processed locally on your Mac. Thumbnail generation, caching, directory watching, and database indexes are created and stored on your local disk.

We do not upload or store your media on external servers. We have zero access to your images, audio files, designs, or screenshots.

2. On-Device OCR & Text Recognition

Peeky uses Apple's native Vision Framework for Optical Character Recognition (OCR). When text is indexed from your screenshots or graphics, the processing runs entirely on your Mac's Neural Engine and CPU. No image data is transmitted over the internet for text recognition.

3. AI Smart Tagging (Bring Your Own Key)

Peeky supports optional AI smart tagging using third-party AI models (such as DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or local Vision models):

• Keychain Security: Your API keys are encrypted and stored in your Mac's native Keychain Access.
• Direct Communication: When you run an AI tag analysis, requests are sent directly from your Mac to the configured provider. Your media does not pass through our servers.

4. Telemetry and Analytics

We do not track your usage. Peeky does not include third-party tracking frameworks, hidden analytics, or behavioral telemetry. Crash reports are only received if you opt-in to share them via Apple's standard macOS crash reporting system.

5. In-App Purchases & Licensing

All in-app purchases and lifetime license unlocks are processed directly and securely through Apple's StoreKit 2. We do not collect, view, or process your credit card or billing details.
